Biography
Hello. My name is Anne. I love working with individuals, children and families, seeing them become healthy and successful. Life is full of challenges and transitions; whether you are 4 or 95 years old- we will investigate new coping skills and create healing.
I listen and value your time, knowing you are the expert of your life. I want to meet you where you are in your life circumstances. Are you dealing with behavioral issues with your son or daughter? Do you feel anxious, sad, angry or afraid? Have you lost a loved one? Do you have a spiritual void? Together we will explore skills to assist you in healing and coping. Working with children is my favorite: their play is their work. Play is their way of looking at their worries and coping with daily circumstances. Parenting is a loving challenge and at times it can be overwhelming. Developing positive ways to listen and interact with your child is key to a healthy and happy relationship.
I have worked in several settings: private practice, child and adolescent clinic, child-care, family and juvenile court, adoption, foster care and medical settings. I use a variety of therapies: family systems, cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, brief solution focused and play therapy. I enjoy working with all ages and concerns: elderly life transitions, LGBTQA+, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, child and adolescent issues.
When I am not working, I like exploring nature with photography, walking, kayaking and spending time with family and friends. I love playing guitar and singing. I have a goldendoodle dog named Tucker who is a gentle and “good boy”. I have lots of brothers, a sister and over 17 nieces and nephews who keep me young and laughing all the time. They remind me that life is precious and we are meant to be happy. Nothing is more important than your peace and mental well-being.
It would be my honor to offer you a safe and healing space.
